Ironstone Hill and Munyeroo Conservation Parks

Between October 2021 and April 2024 members of the FNSSA Reptile and Frog Group undertook 5 multi-day surveys in the Ironstone Hill and Munyeroo Conservation Parks, in the Middleback Ranges. The surveys were conducted in Autum and Spring and each survey targeted a different area of the parks. The field trips were attended by ~25 members and families of the FNSSA and members of the Friends of the Whyalla Conservation Park.

These surveys were very successful with more than 35 species of reptile being recorded as well as native mammals, birds and insects. The data collected during the surveys has been added to the South Australian Biological Survey database and is currently being collated into a report.
