Aldinga Scrub CP

On Sunday 6th February approximately 25 people from SAHG and Friends of Aldinga Scrub participated in a walk through the park. The walk was lead by Dr Tim Milne with assistance from Peter Matejcic and Peter Bird.

Prior to the walk Helen

from the FoAS provided some background on the establishment of the park and the ongoing work of the group to help preserve and improve the park – no easy task given the constant threat for housing development in the area. Tim also briefed us on some of the reptile and fauna survey work that has previously been conducted in the park and adjacent areas.

Despite the warm conditions only a few small skinks and geckos were found hiding under the tiles installed by Tim and other debris. However a good time appeared to be had by all, judging by the regular chatter and observations of the group.
